THE PLAN
Every Monday I will post the reading for the week ahead. It will be about 10 chapters a week. You might want to read a chapter or two a day, and catch up at weekends. If there is a verse that especially spoke to you, a question that you have, or a thought that struck you, please share it with your fellow travellers by making a comment.

There are so many great episodes in these chapters! This week I have been particularly struck by the rights asserted by the landowner in 20:14-15; by the extraordinary servanthood of the Son of David who asks ‘what do you want me to do for you?’ in 20:32; by the verbal jousting and utterly unequal contest of 22:15-46 (men against boys); by Jesus’ tears over Jerusalem in 23:37-38; by the tribute Jesus pays the woman in 26:10-13; by the violence with which the earth responds to the death of Christ in 27:51; and by how the angel rolls the stone away in 28:1-7 not to let Jesus out but to let us see he was no longer there! It has been good to revisit this book and to see Jesus in action (in word and deed).
