Jesus said, "These are the Scriptures that testify about me." (John 5:39) As all roads once led to Rome, all Scripture leads to Jesus. Join us as we journey through the whole Bible on a quest to know Him better.
THE PLAN
Every Monday I will post the reading for the week ahead. It will be about 10 chapters a week. You might want to read a chapter or two a day, and catch up at weekends. If there is a verse that especially spoke to you, a question that you have, or a thought that struck you, please share it with your fellow travellers by making a comment.

We sometimes think, “If only God would turn up and do a miracle in front of all my friends, they’d all believe!” Jesus says that’s simply not the case. Luke 16:27-31 ‘He answered, “Then I beg you, father, send Lazarus to my family, for I have five brothers. Let him warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.” ‘Abraham replied, “They have Moses and the Prophets; let them listen to them.” ‘”No, father Abraham,” he said, “but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.” ‘He said to him, “If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.”’ Those who harden themselves against the testimony of scripture have hardened themselves to the point of resolute, determined unbelief.
Great point. Why do we keep wishing our friends would see miracles, when the gospels make it plain that even in the face of the miracles of Jesus people didn't believe. We need to pickle that red herring!
