THE PLAN

Every Monday I will post the reading for the week ahead. It will be about 10 chapters a week. You might want to read a chapter or two a day, and catch up at weekends. If there is a verse that especially spoke to you, a question that you have, or a thought that struck you, please share it with your fellow travellers by making a comment.

Encouraged by the example of Eliakim and Hilkiah in 2Kings18:32....when the enemy shouted lies they went to their king. When our enemy, the accuser of the brethren, shouts his lies or even whispers them...I'm reminded to flee to THE King in repentance and see again the sufficiency of His precious blood.

The field commander poses good questions in 2 Kings 18:20 "On what are you basing this confidence of yours?" "On whom are you depending, that you rebel against me?" But he has not reckoned on the answer! This is a good scene to remember whenever worldly powers try to make us go their way, not the Lord's.
