THE PLAN
Every Monday I will post the reading for the week ahead. It will be about 10 chapters a week. You might want to read a chapter or two a day, and catch up at weekends. If there is a verse that especially spoke to you, a question that you have, or a thought that struck you, please share it with your fellow travellers by making a comment.

Wonderful, wonderful passages about our Lord Jesus. He spoke to me afresh about the huge cost to Him of turning His back(a 2nd time) on the Glory of Heaven and coming down into this world of sin and darkness to go to the CROSS,that He might take us sinners to Glory with Him.(chp 17v1-23). Thanks be to God.
He is amazing.
Can anyone help decipher 13:51-52?
Presumably believing "all these things" is referring to all the parables from the beginning of chapter 13? Is it something to do with a Jew who believes in Jesus having all of the treasures of the OT to draw on, interpreted through Jesus, plus Jesus' new teaching (e.g. the parables). Are we seeing here Matthew's focus on Jewish readers?
I have been challenged by the logic of the parable of the unmerciful servant in Matthew 18:21-35. We hold on to grudges against fellow believers because we have lost sight of the enormity of the debt we ourselves have been forgiven. Remembering the second of those things will help me to let go of the first.
Ruth and Laura, Amen!
