Jesus said, "These are the Scriptures that testify about me." (John 5:39) As all roads once led to Rome, all Scripture leads to Jesus. Join us as we journey through the whole Bible on a quest to know Him better.
THE PLAN
Every Monday I will post the reading for the week ahead. It will be about 10 chapters a week. You might want to read a chapter or two a day, and catch up at weekends. If there is a verse that especially spoke to you, a question that you have, or a thought that struck you, please share it with your fellow travellers by making a comment.

Struck by a theme in 1:48, 2:25, 4:17-18 and 4:39 (which surfaces again 10:27). He knows us. Which is sobering - we can’t hide from him. And comforting - others don’t get us but he does. To be known and loved. By Him. That is precious.
We could add 5:42 to the “Jesus knows the truth about us” theme
'The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us''---GLORIOUS! Thanks be to God.
Plain and simple. John 3:18 ‘Whoever believes in him [the Son, Jesus] is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.’ Driven home by John 3:36 ‘Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them.’
Love John 6:35 - Jesus is the bread of life. He is the food for our souls that we need daily.
Playing catch up already but loving 'the book'. Have never before read John in big chunks... and doing so helps immerse yourself in the story. Interesting to see how much the first chapter helps make sense of the rest of the story: "he was i the world and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognise him."
