THE PLAN

Every Monday I will post the reading for the week ahead. It will be about 10 chapters a week. You might want to read a chapter or two a day, and catch up at weekends. If there is a verse that especially spoke to you, a question that you have, or a thought that struck you, please share it with your fellow travellers by making a comment.

Acts 19-28

I had not previously noticed the striking parallels between the final chapters of Paul’s life and those of Jesus. Paul turns his face resolutely towards Jerusalem (20:22-24), faces Jewish opposition and cries of “die!” from an unruly mob (22:22-23) and faces trumped up charges that don't hold water (25:7). As with the master, so with the servant (cf. John 15:20).
