THE PLAN
Every Monday I will post the reading for the week ahead. It will be about 10 chapters a week. You might want to read a chapter or two a day, and catch up at weekends. If there is a verse that especially spoke to you, a question that you have, or a thought that struck you, please share it with your fellow travellers by making a comment.

Chp 26 v 14 filled me with wonder.
I read quite a lot of Amy Carmichael and love''Edges of His Ways'', which is Delitzsch's (??) translation of this verse &the Foreward says '' Amy recognised in all HE gave, only the edges of the Greater Power behind and beyond, and with Job realized that they were merely ''whispers'', as compared with it''.
23:3-4
Job groans "If only I knew where to find him...." And it left me rejoicing that we know exactly where to find to Him, because although no one has ever seen God, "the one and only Son, who is himself God and is the closest relationship with the Father, has made him known." John 1:18
Ruth, thank you so much for highlighting this verse - it’s awe-inspiring isn’t it: ’…And these are but the outer fringe of his works; how faint the whisper we hear of him! Who then can understand the thunder of his power?’
In Job 28, Job asks plaintively, “Where is wisdom to be found?” and imagines searching for it high and low without success (‘The deep says, “It is not in me’; the sea says, “It is not within me” … Destruction and Death say, “Only a rumour of it has reached our ears”). 28:28 gives the answer ‘in the fear of the Lord’, but beautifully Colossians 2:3 goes further: “…Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.”
