Every Monday I will post the reading for the week ahead. It will be about 10 chapters a week. You might want to read a chapter or two a day, and catch up at weekends. After all the ways God's people went astray and let Him down time&time again through the O.T,and how we continue to do so,I'm struck afresh by the contrast of His Glorious Grace, so undeserved by us sinners(Eph 2 v 8).For me chp 1 v 7&8 express this so Wonderfully,''In Him we have redemption through His Blood, the forgiveness of sins,in accordance with the riches of God's Grace that He LAVISHED on us with all Wisdom and Understanding''. I just love that word 'lavished''---His ever flowing, never ending Grace, so totally undeserved. Thanks be to God & may''Christ dwell in our hearts through faith'' 3v17.
What we were (2:12): “…remember that at that time you [Gentiles] were separate from Christ, excluded from citizenship in Israel and foreigners to the covenants of the promise, without hope and without God in the world.” What we are (2:13,18): “But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ… for through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit.” What a change!
